2010 Candidate Forum
Candidates running in the November election discussed issues from taxes, off-shore oil drilling, education healthcare and local concerns at a forum on Saturday, October 1 at Friendship Village. The forum was sponsored by the League of Women Voters of the Palatine area, a nonpartisan political organization, Friendship Village of Schaumburg and partially funded by the LWVPA Education Fund. Susan Spengler, Voter Services Chair opened the session. Carolyn Roberts moderated the forum. Among the candidates who discussed the issues were: Bill Scheurer and Joe Walsh for the U.S. Congressional District 8 race, John Millner and Corinne Michelle Pierog for the Illinois Senate District 28, Matt Flamm, Tom Morrison, Ryan Higgins and Michelle Mussman, who are running for the Illinois Legislative Districts 54 and 56.
