Elleana Eden's 12th Month (October)

At Elleana's 1 year check-up, she was 29 3/4 inches long (70th pecentile)—she has grown 10 inches this year!—and weighed 20 lbs. 3 oz (35th pecentile, she had never been that low for percentiles). The doctor was conerened about her weight, because she had lost a couple of ounces since her last appointment—and apparently that should never happen with babies!! I was told to add lots of butter to everything I made her. Well, after a few days, Elleana weighed 21 lbs, so I don't think Elleana will get gobs of butter with each meal. :) Everything else looked great! We continue to praise the Lord for this very precious, healthy, growing little girl!!

At Elleana's nine month check-up, she weighed 19 lbs. 14.5 oz. (75th percentile) and was 29 inches long (92nd percentile)! So thankful for our healthy baby girl!

Elleana is getting so big!! She is getting really good at sitting on her own. We just love the new faces and sounds that she makes. There are quite a few pics in this album that display her different expressions—we love them all! :)

Elleana's First Easter

We enjoyed our first Easter, celebrating our risen Savior, with Elleana. Meditating on and rejoicing in Jesus' death on the cross and ressurection for us is incredibly humbling and causes great rejoicing. He is risen! He is risen, indeed!

Elleana Eden's 6th Month (April)

Elleana weighed 17 lbs. 6 oz. (75th percentile) and was 27 inches long (55th percentile) at her 6 month check-up. We can hardly believe that we've had half a year with this precious little girl! The time is flying by much too quickly, and she is growing and changing constantly! Each day with her is filled with great joy and thankfulness over this treasure!!

We can hardly believe Elleana has been with us for 5 months now! She is so much fun! As you can see from these pictures, she has many expressions. She also getting to be such a strong girl, and does a great job sitting in her bumbo seat!

At Elleana's four month check-up, she weighed 13 lbs. 11oz (85th percentile), and was 25 inches long (75th percentile)! She will be as tall as mommy before too much longer! :)

Elleana Eden's 3rd Month (January)

This is Elleana's third month of life outside the womb, and we cannot believe how quickly time is flying by! Our church had parent/baby dedications on the 24th. We have committed ourselves to raise and train Elleana according to God's Word. May the Lord give us the grace, wisdom, and love that is needed to accomplish this task. May He find us faithful!

Elleana Eden's 2nd Month (December)

Here are some photos from Elleana's second month. At Elleana's second month check-up, she weighed 13 lbs (75th percentile), was 23 1/2 inches (85th percentile), and her head circumference was 15 1/2 inches (60th percentile). We are praising the Lord for a healthy baby girl! December was an exciting month because Grandpa and Grandma Gons flew out to meet her, and of course, it was Elleana's first Christmas.

Trip to Mt. Baker

Shanna and I finally made it up to Artist Point, which is open for only a couple of months a year. The rest of the year it's under lots and lots of snow. It was beautiful and well worth the visit. Highly recommended. Table Top is pretty intense, but the view is worth the effort.

Seattle Trip

We were planning on going down to Seattle the weekend after Valentine's Day, but due to circumstances beyond our control, we didn't go until this past weekend. We had a great time walking around Seattle (since neither of us had been there yet) and going to the Seattle Aquarium.

Phil and I were graciously invited to have Thanksgiving dinner with Dan Pritchett (Phil's boss) and his family. We had a wonderful time of fellowship and enjoyed a delicious, huge dinner! These are just a few snapshots of us back at our place.
