"The inspiration for this picture is because James (the sitter) really like grapes and whenever we have grapes in kitchen, his eyes would widen and so I thought it is fitting that I put grapes as his eyes."

"This is a combination of two pictures. A portrait and a picture of a single grape on a white piece of paper. I used the magic wand and layer tool in photoshop to create this picture. It took quite a while to cut out the grape from the background."

"Taken around 4 pm in the afternoon, the sun shining from the left of the picture acts as Key light. no fill light is present and so the shadow on Kaitlin (the sitter) is quite sharp."

"The sun acts as key light. I put a mirror opposite Sarah to reflect some of the sunlight acting as fill light to illuminate her face a little better."

"Sarah insisted that she looked like Mona Lisa in this picture. I used photoshop to treat her skin to make it look really smooth and I also took out the flash glint in her eyes to make it look very solid. I also enhanced her eye color. I was trying to make the her facial features look like portraits of the 15th century. Not very successful but still, the picture looks sort of eerie."
