there's a ben & jerry's ice cream shop in freeport, right next to bean's. you know how you've always daydreamed about being able to climb into a container of ben & jerry's ice cream only so you can eat your way out? well, this is as close as you'll probably get.

one morning, a bright orange sun woke ty up at 5:30 a.m. even sleepiness couldn't stop him from wanting to grab some pics! (don't worry, he slept in until at least 7:30 most mornings.)
a pack of wild ducks taking an early morning swim. at least i didn't see any collars or tags on any of them! :)
one afternoon a bunch of us headed down the pond (this thing was like a mile long, if not longer) to "junk of pork rock." a huge rock sticking out of the water that just begs to be jumped from. someone had rigged up a ladder system to it for just that purpose.

poppa frees a fish from the line. the fish, subsequently named "gutsy" by the children, didn't make it. a funeral, complete with amazing grace, followed later that afternoon. we'll miss you, gutsy!
