I am not sure how this started, but it ended up being sort of a detachment battle cry. Some of our officers had these made-up in PI. This is one of my prized possessions.
Someone thought it was a good idea to have the entire detachmenti participate in a bowling league at midnight on Fridays nights as it would keep us out of trouble. What they did not get is that we would have to walk from mainside all of the way to wingside, after drinking all night.
VMFP-3 Power Plant Mechanic Sgt. Joseph Ade (in red) with his wife Deedee and son Joe Jr. Joe disappeared after leaving P3. He went to Andrews AFB for a while and currently lives in Dan Diego. Joe was originally from Cherry Hill, NJ and was kind enough to drive across the country with me in an ice storm.

This is a picture that Mike Clifton took. I think this was the only time I turned in the Hush House. We usually just went down to the high-power ramp. But this was on 2nd or 3rd shift and late at night. I remember looking out of the cockpit and thinking "what is this hillbilly doing taking a picture of this". Somehow, I broke a weld in the tube. Gunny Rollins wanted to take away my birthday.

I reenlisted for the Persian Gulf War. I was never deployed. It was a bad idea as this ground unit did not quite understand me. This made the local paper and my Mom saved it for me. This also seems like a long time ago.
Lisa and Mike Scott. Mike and I were roomies in Cherry Point. we followed each other around the Corps after that. We still keep in touch.

This pretty picture was taken because my father, who was running for local office at the time, needed to show his constituents that his son was no longer a criminal. One of the guys from Photo Lab took this. I wish I could remember his name. He ws a Dutch-Indonesian guy.
