Somaiya - Leighton Construction Skills Training
Somaiya – Leighton Vocational Training Centres provide 2-4 month hands on training in construction skills currently in 2 locations, Mumbai and Nareshwadi, which is a rural area 20 km from Dahanu. The training is offered to all SSC pass boys, who are between 18 and 25 years of age and are willing to work on construction sites anywhere in India or abroad. The training is delivered by TAFE certified trainers, using the latest international know-how, tools and equipment. The whole training as well as the internationally recognized TAFE certification is provided to all trainees completely free of charge, so that underprivileged children can also join and get a chance for better life. After completion of the institutional training, all trainees are offered a direct employment in Leighton International and are undergoing further on-site training. Thus they can build a steep career in construction industry in India as well as abroad.
