George Galloway British MP in Garden Grove
On Tuesday, April 7, 2009, at the Embassy Suites in Garden Grove, George Galloway MP, gave a speech about Middle Eastern affairs and the conditions in the Gaza Strip today after Israel bombed and later invaded the territory.
George Galloway is a British politician, author, and broadcaster, who has been a Member of Parliament (MP) since 1987 and is known for his outspoken socialist and anti-Zionist views.
He was a Labour Party MP for Glasgow Hillhead, and for Glasgow Kelvin, before his expulsion from the party in October 2003 due to his outspoken anti-Iraq war views.
Subsequently he became a founding member of the "Respect Party;" an acronym standing for Respect, Equality, Socialism, Peace, Environmentalism, Community, and Trade Unionism. He was recently elected to that seat in 2007.
