Judy's Farm House
We were asked to make a run-down farm house livable on a budget. Parts of the house were OK and the owners Mike and Judy were willing to leave most of the room's interiors as is. This house had failing box gutters, worn out shingles, very questionable siding, a poor furnace, drafty spaces due to extremely loose fitting windows, poor electric, no modern laundry or kitchen, and no downstairs bath room.
Work included; all new roofs (EPDM rubber on the flat roofs and shingle over the main house), jacking up the front porch and reworking the column bases, new electric service and major wiring upgrades, a new high efficiency furnace, new windows and sidings, new gutter system, a reworked living suite on the first floor (this included kitchen, bath/laundry and bedroom), and a new back porch. We spruced up as needed and added insulation when ever we could.
