"Um... sweetie, If you had read my post you would have seen I got the pics from the St. Johns Sheriff Department in the first place. I've taken pictures of snakes from all perspectives and the trapper was simply wrong. It certainly wasn't 15 feet (and I never said it was). My guess is between 8 and 8 1/2 feet, judging from both pics.
The other pic has it with the tail not quite touching the ground going by perspective and usual procedure on photographing long animals like fish and snakes.
It's still a HUGE rattler and, having come face to face with a much smaller only 6 foot one armed with a fishing pole, I'm happy just looking at the picture. :-)"
