Don't get a short circuit.
I actually don't know what kind of IR LED this is.
I initially poked the holes with a small needle, then used a bigger needle to widen them.
It's very easy to replace the battery.
The longer LED leg could also be cut off to reduce the risk of a short circuit. But it gives the LED some stability when the battery is pressing on to it.
The wire is connected to the other solder lug.
