Seal Rocks Trip

David Fisher organised a weekend at Seal Rocks. We camped at the local caravan park. On Saturday we paddled one way to Elizabeth Beach incl a car shuffle. On sunday we paddled to Seal Rock and back. The distances weren't big a, but the swell was up ... 3-4m and the winds 15-20knots. It was the same weekend that Jessica Watson sailed into Sydney after her round the world solo trip.

Broughton Island V

My fifth trip to BI and I never tire of the place. The weather was balmy and warm, the sea was gentle and the wind kept at bay most of the time.We covered 66km in two days including a circumnavigation of the Island. Cons Cleft was popular with all 11 of us passing thru it multiple times. As with most trips, the company you keep can make it or break it. This group was great. Thanks to David Fisher for organising and leading the trip.

It was a good trip ... nobody died ...thank God !

on the trip back Mike was trashed in Cons Cleft and had to be rescued and his boat retrieved from surging waves within the bowels of Looking Glass ... he was very lucky in the end ... we all came away learning some valuable lessons from this trip

Beecroft Circumnavigation

On the Saturday we paddled 38km around Beecroft Peninsula - from the creek to the surf camping at Honeymoon Bay overnight. On Sunday we paddled 24km from Honeymoon Bay to Stoney Creek and back. A memorable weekend.

Sea Skills Training 210209

Fourteen of us paddled from Bonnie Vale to Marley Beach on a wet grey day. Led by Stuart Trueman and Steve Bell we practiced sea skills along the way, taking people outside their comfort zone and honing kayaking skills along the way.

Maitland Bay Paddle

Shaan and myself paddled the Mirage double from Palm Beach to Maitland Bay on a stinking hot Australia Day weekend. The coolest place to be was on the ocean ... and amongst the dolphins.
