Pam and I took a trip back to Yachats on Saturday and Sunday when we saw it was going to be sunny on the coast. I also paid an hour visit to my favorite sand dune spot in Florence while Pam did some shopping.

Last Call for Colors of Fall

Portland got an unexpected beautiful day on Sunday. As soon as I saw the sunshine, I grabbed my camera and headed out to shoot at Reed College. Late in the afternoon, I got a few more shots of a Japanese Maple in the neighborhood. It felt like it might be one of the last chances to capture the brilliant colors before the trees go bare.

24 Hours - To the coast and back

We hit the road about 4 pm Saturday and spent the night in Rockaway Beach. On Sunday, we went north to Cannon Beach and returned home by 4 pm.

Hike to Ramona Falls

Pam and I went on a 7 mile hike because I really wanted to shoot these falls and Pam didn't want to stay home alone. It could be stated (and was) that perhaps we should have done a more modest hike before tackling this one. We slept very well when we finally got home. It was worth it, though (at least for me).
