NCACC officers meet with Governor, Commerce Secretary
Members of the NCACC Executive Committee met with Governor Beverly Perdue on Nov. 4 to discuss issues related to economic development and job creation. Governor Perdue expressed her desire to work with counties to help the state to develop an economic development incentives program that would make the state more competitive in the search for new economic development opportunities. Commerce Secretary Keith Crisco also spoke about his department’s ongoing efforts to attract business to North Carolina. NCACC President Kenneth Edge (Cumberland County), President Elect Howard Hunter (Hertford County), First Vice President Ray Jeffers (Person County) and Second Vice President Ronnie Beale (Macon County) participated in the meeting.
