This was the first bar we found, right next to our hotel. And it was full of Brits.
Melissa and her best friend.
Had some breakfast and ready to explore Phuket.
Busy street in Patong (Phuket). Power and Telephone cables are always hard to find in Asia...
That's us with our 2 best friends on the trip, Singa and Connect 4.
Melissa about to pwn me. :(
This was the bar in the place we stayed the first couple of nights.
“I hope they don't run out of Singa...”
The Thai version of Twisties!! They are SO YUM.... kind of have a slight bacon flavour. And of course, there is the infamous “Lucky Chang”.
Another busy street in Patong.
About to take off on a speed boat trip.
Speedboats go FAST.
On Bamboo Island.
A “Long Tail” boat. These are pretty much everywhere in Thailand.
The abominable snowman.
Nice blue water.
This is on Monkey Beach.
The monkeys come down to see you and especially if you bring them food.
Isn't there some saying about freezing the balls off a monkey....
Feeding the monkeys.
Some wierd cave thing on Phi Phi Lay.
A little mini-beach.
I love these cliff formations.
This was taken in Maya Bay. Maya Bay is BEAUTIFUL and I believe was used during the filming of “The Beach”.
We made some friends at a little hut bar called “Relax Point”. This is one of the owners owning Melissa at Connect 4.
We've now left Phuket and got the ferry over to Ko Phi Phi (which we loved). We stayed here for about 5 days I think.
“I wonder what the score is in the cricket.”
More Connect 4. Or as the Thai's call it “Bingo Game!”
I got 6 in a row. OWNED!!
We're taking a long tail to Hat Yao (“Long Beach”) on Ko Phi Phi Don.
The engines on these long tails are massive.
Thats Ko Phi Phi Lay in the distance (from Long Beach).
The food is Thailand is awesome. This is a Tom Yum soup (it was very hot).
Chicken Panang. YUM!
You know its game over.
Thats the restaurant next door to where we were eating. It was like a big ship or something.
My eyebrows are obviously having a wardrobe malfunction.
In Thailand, chilli powder is your friend.
Green curry is my favorite.
Yellow curry this time.
Chicken Massaman. This curry has something to do with the Muslim religion (hence the derivative name).
Awww yeah, BUCKETS OF JOY!!
Melissa likes them. She likes them a lot.
These buckets contain Sangsom Whiskey, Red Bull, Coke and Ice.
Melissa reckons I look like “Scrat” from Ice Age in this photo. I reckon she's dreamin.
Tomorrow is going to be painful.
OK, we drank quite a few buckets by this stage....
That was a Panang but it was probably the hottest Panang I've ever tasted.
Green curry with prawns. OMG.
They sell these bracelets all over the place. Melissa liked this green one.
We stayed here for a while. It was nice.
This is from the lookout on Phi Phi Don. You can see both the beaches.
Phi Phi Don is actually 2 islands with a sand bar in the middle. You can imagine that part getting washed away when the tsunami hit.
Notice how Melissa is always smiling when she has beer. :)
We are on the ferry to Ko Samui.
Sunset from the ferry.
Hat Lamai (on Ko Samui)
Sad. But true.
Alcohol makes you do strange things. :)
The view from our ROOM on Hat Lamai. Very cool.
We love the good time.
This little kitty was watching us eat breakfast.
“Oh Timbo, you so funnee.”
Melissa thinks my head is some kind of “My Little Pony” that she can style however she likes.
On the ferry to Ko Phangan.
From our bungalow on Bottle Beach (probably my favourite beach on this planet).
Our little bungalow had no air con or hot water. But it had a broom....
I think we have a Connect 4 addiction. We even bought our own travel-size version!!
Bottle Beach is beautiful.
Not business hammocks.
This is a “Jungle Curry”. VERY HOT.
There were a bunch of playful kittens hanging out where we stayed at Bottle Beach.
Playing with the little kitty. :)
“Smile Bungalow” from the long tail boat.
Playing with the kitty.
I took Melissa here specifically but it wasn't open. :(
This was our last night back in Phuket. We went back to the “Relax Point” to say goodbye to our friends.
